Some waves have you destroying the chicken invaders (who are organized in different formations throughout), while others have you dodging deadly asteroids heading straight for you. There are ten different waves you face in Chicken Invaders.
You repeat your actions on wave after wave until you finally lose all three lives and the game ends. When destroyed, the chickens drop a drumstick you can collect for bonus points, or a present that will award you powerups and points. If you get hit by an egg, you lose one of your three lives. However, you'll have to be quick and alert to dodge the eggs they drop. The enemies sit at the top of the screen, and its your job to eliminate them. You control a spaceship at the bottom of the screen that can be moved left or right. The gameplay at the heart of Chicken Invaders is very similar to other arcade shooters. Goofy graphics and sounds add an interesting touch to the good arcade gameplay. You can face the task alone or play with a friend. You'll take on increasingly difficult waves of chickens and asteroids that threaten to destroy Earth. Chickens are invading Earth and it's your job to pilot a spaceship to take them out and save the world. The graphics have come a long way since the days of Space Invaders, not to mention the fact that the mouse has greatly improved our ability to control the spaceship.Chicken Invaders is a strange new twist on the classic Space Invaders style arcade game. In my opinion, this is a very addicting game that would be awesome on your phone as well. There are several colors and shades to choose from and you will unlock paint options for the fuselage, the weapons pod, the tail wing, and even the density and shininess of the spaceship!
For starters, you will choose the base color of the spaceship, the color of the cockpit, and the color of the engine flames both inner and outer.
The options are vast, starting with the fact that you can choose the method you want to use to control your spaceship and weapons, your keyboard, your mouse, and even touchscreens! The best feature in my opinion, is that you get to customize your spaceship with the keys you collect during the game, as well as backgrounds from previous versions. There are several achievements available and a high score leader board that will list all of your top scores (and the scores of other players on your computer)

When you blast the full grown chickens, they will reward you with delicious chicken legs and even whole roasted chickens, which can only be collected when your spaceship runs over them, which isn't always easy when the egg bombs are everywhere! There are also keys to collect, burgers, presents and weapon upgrades to snag. You must defend your planet from space invaders, which in this case are vicious and relentless Chickens! The Chicken invaders have unique weapons and defenses, the hens lay eggs that will completely obliterate your spaceship should you take a direct hit or even if you mistakenly broadside a falling egg. Just like the days of space invaders, you are tasked with blasting chickens from outer space, only the graphics are way better than the old arcade games of yesteryear.
